Rework by maintaining associativity : NX

Rework by maintaining associativity : NX

(OP)
Hi All,
Could any one of you tell me the best practices that needs to be followed while adjusting the NX models based on the existing files. Most of the times we have to use new part file instead of the existing one, and still maintain the associativity of all the child features. How best this can be done what are all the preferred options. is there any presentation available on these tips. (recently I was working on a part and I had adjust around 100 section curves manually for the "curve length edit" feature, most of them had lost the associativity and were missing the section strings.)

Please help me.

RE: Rework by maintaining associativity : NX

It's all dependent on how the part was constructed.
NX allows you to model "your way", and there is therefore no general master method.

If you can share more on the model-s and how /what, we can probably propose methods.

Regards,
Tomas

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
One such method I found recently was, I was editing the linked body in the part navigator, by edit with roll back option and then linking to the new body. By doing so I was missing the associativity on some of the section curves which was already made, then the other method I tried was "replace feature" which helped me to have the associativity on the section curves.
I was looking for similar best practices/know method if any, to keep the model associativity while rework/adjustment.
