Rigid Surface Specification for contact in NX Nastran 10

Rigid Surface Specification for contact in NX Nastran 10

(OP)
Hello all,

I was wondering if there is an option to define a surface as a rigid for contact purposes without having to mesh it. I have been reading the Advanced Nonlinear Guide but it seems like a mesh is always required. If that is the case, does the program calculate the contact between meshes or does it ignore the mesh on the rigid surface and calculate the contact on the surface itself?

Thanks in advance!
