looking for recommendations on design for new PEMB foundation to the corner of two existing PEMB's. New column pier having 0" (up against) between existing wall. Vertical load 35k and 5k lateral reactions.

Are you at the rentrant corner of what is now an L-shaped structure? A plan and section sketch of what the current condition is would be helpful.

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.
