Table UCS-66, metric

Table UCS-66, metric

Table UCS-66, metric

(OP)
Gentlemen:

Your comments on this ítem will be appreciated.

In ASME VIII-1 2015 Ed. paragraph UCS-66(a)(1)(-e) states that if goverign thickness of a non-welded part is larger than 150 mm and MDMT is below 50C, then an impact tested material shall be used. However Table UCS-66 metric goes up to 139 mm.

Question is: For table UCS-66 metric, what temperatures shall be used for curves A, B, C & D for a 150 mm thickness?

Thanks in advance.

RE: Table UCS-66, metric

Jano6924, Fig UCS-66M seems to go up to 150mm. No idea why the table does not.

Regards,

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand

RE: Table UCS-66, metric

Send in an Inquiry regarding the tabular values. Otherwise, I would use Figure UCS-66M.

Mike & Metengr:

Yes, I was thinking on using values read from Fig. UCS-66M.

Thanks for your comments.

RE: Table UCS-66, metric

I would second what metengr said. Please send in an inquiry. It's the only way that any potential issue will get fixed.
