thread507-125753: #9 x 3/4" Expanded Metal Strength
Hi,
I was doing a search for expanded metal strength and deflection tables and came across the above thread. I know it is old but I believe the Op was mistaken in his assumption of what the naming convention means for expanded metal. I believe he should be using a 1.8# strength table for that expanded metal. I think that tables only go up to 7# carbon steel because the heaviest expanded metal you can get is 7 lbs/square foot.
(3/4"-9 is only 1.8 lbs / square foot)
