FIRE WATER RING PRESURE REGULATING VALVE

FIRE WATER RING PRESURE REGULATING VALVE

FIRE WATER RING PRESURE REGULATING VALVE

(OP)
We have a 12 " fire water ring running from the aft to forward of the FPSO . initially a PRV was supposed to be located on the discharge of the main Fire water pumps but was removed later due to huge cost implications but now when all the construction is over we find heavy vibration on the line due to high pressure in the ring so now we have decided to add the self regulating PRV again .we have decided to add it in the overboard discharge test line of the ring.please find the proposed location of the pressure control valve anywhere in the clouded area in the P&ID.The line flow rate is supposed to be 1265m3/hr which is the discharge flowrate of the pump.can anyone suggest how to design this valve.will it be better if we find an alternate location for the valve.?
