Stainless Steel 316 Bending Radius

Stainless Steel 316 Bending Radius

(OP)
Hello,

We have a roof for a tank formed from stainless steel 316. The plate is 1/4" thick.

My question is what bending radius is recommended when bending parallel to the rolling direction? This will be cold formed.

Further, is there any reference information for this matter?

Thanks.

RE: Stainless Steel 316 Bending Radius

i don't normally work with 1/4" thk steel sheet, but I suspect 3t is a reasonable number.
