Wire Mesh To Hold a Retaining wall
Wire Mesh To Hold a Retaining wall
(OP)
I have an "emergency repair" along a major train track in the NY area. There is an elevated retaining wall that has started leaning towards the train tracks. We want to put a wire mesh to catch the wall if it fails. We will anchor it at the base of the wall and set back from the top.
My question is, what kind of wire mesh should I use to span between the top and bottom to catch the wall if it fails? Does anyone have any specifications for this type of wire mesh? I have seen this type of mesh along the side of highways to hold back rocks if they fall down. Where can I find this type of mesh? Any insight about wire mesh will be helpful.
Thanks in advance for your help.
