i get an error message "cannot add component under the current environment"

what version of NX are you using and what are you trying to do exactly?

Also, are you using Teamcenter or some other PLM system? If so, are you adding the component from the PLM system or from NX itself?

so here's the deal. i reloaded nx. then i got the same error. by the way, i was trying to load a component from our re-use library and had no success, so i attempted to just load a component using "add component". yeah, it worked. after that the other function started working again. never saw this one before, but oh well, it's working now.
