Bar Code Font

Bar Code Font

Bar Code Font

(OP)
Greetings:

We place bar codes on our drafting prints for our shop. I typically use a file that has a title block already set up for a customer, and until now, I've not had a problem selecting the font that makes bar code and putting a text note on each print. I chose a new title block file, and now am attempting to put a bar code on the print, and the bar code font is available to select; however, when I select it, it gives me an error message saying font not valid and places the text as it is typed. Does anyone know how I can make this font available to this file that I have? I am using NX9.

Thanks in advance,

Brent

RE: Bar Code Font

Are you using the NX font or the TrueType font?

John,

I'm not sure. When I click the text Icon, I have a long list of fonts that appear to be available to use, the default with this file is Stylus BT, but when I choose any other font, it gives me an invalid font message.

We figured it out. We had to go into File-Utilities-Character Font and change the font there, for example, we changed it to blockfont, and for what ever reason, it allowed us to use our other fonts.

Thanks for your help,

Brent

RE: Bar Code Font

Stylus BT is a TrueType font supplied with Windows.
Does NX require the fonts be copied to a NX font folder defined in the default settings file?

RE: Bar Code Font

For TrueType/OpenType fonts, it should be adequate that they're in the Windows 'Font' folder.
