Frame analysis software frame deformation

Frame analysis software frame deformation

Frame analysis software frame deformation

(OP)

Just a question about frame analysis software. In Etabs, in the Deformed shape button. What you get is pure concrete deformation without any rebars. In the Concrete Design button, you get the PU and MU for certain load combinations and the percentage of rebars.

What other software package where you can input all the actuals rebars (or percentage) of the column and beams and get the display of the actual moments and shears of each member of the entire structure and the deformation?

RE: Frame analysis software frame deformation

Your question isn't very clear. Are you looking for a program where the FEM solution considers individual rebar stresses during the analysis? Because most structural programs will only look at them in the post processing phase (i.e. design checks).

There are some pretty advanced non-linear mechanical programs that will consider concrete cracking, and reinforcement and such. But, those models take a long time to build and I don't know anyone (outside of academia) that uses them.
