RE: NX11 Feedback

I would put it on hold for some time..Usually you should wait until there are 2 maintenance releases (NX11.0.2).
To my knowledge we are still at NX11.0.0

RE: NX11 Feedback

We've started running NX11 recently. We're coming from 10 and I wouldn't say there's a whole lot different other than the ribbon interface for us. My sense on that is it may be better if you spend a boatload of time setting it up the way you want, but out of box kind of sucks. It seems like they just threw a bunch of commands in without a lot of thought, but maybe it's just a matter of everybody using software in a different way depending on what you're trying to do. The functionality for us (basic modeling/drafting, some surfacing and machining) is still pretty good, with the usual bugs and quirks.

RE: NX11 Feedback

I've noticed lately that many people are complaining about the Ribbon interface being not up to par out of the box. Is anyone using their Role from the previous version of NX?

RE: NX11 Feedback

Can´t say I noticed any major usability differences between NX9 and NX11 UI. I run the "advanced" role and have all dialogs set to "more" on site level, as an addendum the more/less dialog function boggles my mind with its ability to cause confusion among new and old users.

RE: NX11 Feedback

When we moved to NX9, I started with my previous NX8.5 role. Not all of it translated over smoothly, and I had to fine tune to get it to work the way I wanted, in the ribbon environment.

roles.... anyone cant adapt (in my opinion)

im looking a bit more deep into features/new features/enchants, things that actualy can "f$#&%" my whole work, or work a lot diferent. for example when i moved from 8.5 to 9 we noticed that the shrink point from moldwizzard worked as not intend (no one from siemens and neither re-seller told us about i think even them didnt know about it) later on i reported it to siemens and they told us that was working that way because something that they did to work with another template or so and they would fix it on prior versions.

update: the problem from 8.5 was this : "

Dear Customer,

Reference: PR Number 7592967

Siemens PLM believes that the problem you reported where the Associative Point
of a Moldwizard ScaleBody in the SHRINK part moves after using Mold CSYS will
be resolved by code changes made to the release of our product NX11.0.1.
