Lightweight plastics for playing cards

Lightweight plastics for playing cards

(OP)
Hi all and happy new year :)

Im working on creating a strong but lightweight playing cards. I'd like something with the feel of cellulose acetate, but light weight. It also needs to handle quite well. I'm thinking a width of .2-.4mm would work well. Weight should be around 140-180gsm.

Any ideas? Does such a material exist?

RE: Lightweight plastics for playing cards

PVC and PET are the 2 materials that come to mind which are used in plastic business cards. Not sure if it would give the same feel as coated paper, though. They might deal and handle somewhat differently.

It is better to have enough ideas for some of them to be wrong, than to be always right by having no ideas at all.
