I see that A325 and A490 are no longer specs, but are materials under the new subject ASTM Spec.

Just noticed... hope it didn't happen a while back.

RE: ASTM F3125/F3125M - 15a

dik....yes, it happened in 2016 so no real worries. Another example of ASTM Committees exerting their relevance. No real reason to change, they just combined a few things and called it a new standard. Waste of effort in my (not so) humble opinion.

I am a member of a couple of ASTM committees....it is incredibly frustrating!

RE: ASTM F3125/F3125M - 15a

The November 2015 issue of Modern Steel Construction had an article on it. I forgot about it until reading this post.

Thanks... I usually keep track of spec changes pretty carefully... this one caught me 'off guard' and was brought to my attention by one of the junior engineers in the firm.

Did you notice the ASTM for welded wire reinforcement changed? ASTM A1064 replaced ASTM A82, A185, A496, and A497.
Also, the masonry code and specification for 2016 will just be TMS 402/602. ACI 530/530.1 and ASCE 5/6 are gone with the 2016 edition.

RE: ASTM F3125/F3125M - 15a

A1064 - missed that one. Thanks wannabeSE.

Thanks wannabeSE... most of my references are to CSA Standards, but, I will check my notes for any of the ASTM references.
