which is the best coating to avoid corrosion in electric towers?

(OP)
Hi there,

Im working in an important electric transmission company in South América.

We are actually having some corrosion issues in our electric towers in C5-I and C5-M zones, and i am looking for the best coatings in order to prevent the corrosion and to reduce the maintenance of the towers as much as we can.

C5-I: Very High - Industry: Industrial areas with high humidity and aggressive atmosphere
C5-M: Very High - Marine: Coastal and offshore areas with high salinity

Which coatings do you recomend to protect transmision towers exposed to those conditions?

Thanks!

RE: which is the best coating to avoid corrosion in electric towers?

When I was working for a local utility we used either epoxy or hot dip galvanized coating systems.

Hello everybody:

In the document take a look to numerals 2.1.7 thru 2.1.10 on pages 6 and 7, and numeral 2.4 on page 8. I hope it can help you. https://micanaldepanama.com/wp-content/uploads/201...

When referencing to C5 corrosion category, does it mean that you are using european codes (EN ISO 12944-2) ?
Do you also use EN1090, and/or EN ISO 1461 ?
If not, they may be helpful in your case.
