View (rotation) animation in NX
View (rotation) animation in NX
(OP)
Dear all, for a training, I would like to create a "nice" overview of an assembly. A simple rotation around the vertical axis would do. It should appear in some standard (ie viewable without NX) file format. Is it possible to do it with NX, without saving many individual PNG files with different view orientation and then combining them into an animation? Also, is some more complex sequencing possible, e.g. rotation around z axis, then some predefined zooming? I am using NX 9. Thanks.

Cowski mentioned the Video export.
If you press Ctrl+R, You can define any rotation axis and the option to do continuous rotation.
Note that this menu might set the "Lock vertical axis" option , if your view rotation works differently afterwards. ( Go back to this menu and disable.)
Can be captured by the video output.
The Assembly sequencing can be used to do very simple animations, You must have an assembly.
Should be possible to capture with the video output. Search for "sequence".
There is an animation feature in NX, it is however "quite" ( understatement...) difficult to set up, here one can do the desired, but it is not simple. It requires a lot of trial and error. The animation can be combined with photo realistic rendering setup.¨
There is a dedicated video export option , "Generate animation".
Search for "animate"
