Sheet metal from solid

Sheet metal from solid

Sheet metal from solid

(OP)
Hi All,

I've been trying to use the "sheet metal from solid" function out of the sheet metal environment.

It works!! Crazy thing is that when i'm trying to make a flat pattern out of it NX stalls.

Does anybody have a bright solution. I can't imagine why this part won't flatten ?

This part is made with NX11.0.0.33

Kind Regards,

Lars

RE: Sheet metal from solid

It finally created the flat pattern. It took for ever. Something must be giving it NX Issues. Taking a long time to display this flat pattern also. I will up load file when done. The Flat solid NX had no problems with.

I was thinking that when a "sheet metal from solid" is possible it should be easy to make a flat pattern ?

Am I wrong ?

I got the same behavior btw. Long processing times also with the assembly containing this part.

I would submit to GTAC> They may see something or it could be a huge NX 11 sheet metal issue.
