Concrete curing of Foundations

How long should concrete spread foundations cure before they are backfilled?

RE: Concrete curing of Foundations

Depends on a lot.....temperature, humidity, curing process, construction sequencing, steel erection, etc.

I would say a minimum of 3 days with good cylinder breaks, but otherwise 7 days or until 75% of f'c is obtained.

RE: Concrete curing of Foundations

Assuming 30mpa concrete and normal compaction equipment, 3 days should give you about 15mpa strength. Plenty of capacity. Ask for 3 day cylinder results before compaction.
