Good day to all users of Eng-Tips.com! bigsmile
I wanted to ask a question regarding the "Modal Analysis in ANSYS Workbench". Given the fact that I have an assembly of many components, then I thought about doing a modal analysis since then I'm going to give a load with forcing time-dependent in Transient suite.
I did initially N modal analysis for all N elements taken individually (thus not linked with the classic 6 Rigid Motion Body to f = 0 Hz and then the other modes that I wanted to get) to see what was the first natural minimum frequency.
Then load the entire assembly in Modal Analysis and the constraint system with JOINT & CONTACTS.
Now my problem is both theoretical and practical.
I would understand from a theoretical point of view where the constraints involved, and contacts in a modal analysis, since the problem reduces to ([K] - omega ^ 2 [M]) {D} = {0} would like to understand where the constraints affect and contacts BETWEEN tHE VARIOUS BODIES when the solver is to solve this system of equations.
From the practical point of view the modal analysis "ASSEMBLY" give me a value of the first frequency not nothing of approximately 150 Hz with respect to the first frequency not nothing date among all the modal analysis of the various individual components which is 25 KHz .
