VIEW label Scale

VIEW label Scale

VIEW label Scale

(OP)
Hi All,

In the dialog box I entered the scale of 1:30 When I hit the OK or Apply button this value is changed to the value shown in the pic.
I can't imagine I should be this way, since making a draft is for the convenience of the reader :)

Where is the setting to change this?

RE: VIEW label Scale

Hi Lars,

I am not sure if it's just my old-assed eyes or not, but I find the sheet side of your image VERY difficult to read. Maybe provide a bit larger image?

RE: VIEW label Scale

The sheet ( the view ) has the note "Scale 0.03333:1.0" ( same as seen in the menu to the left)

No, sorry i have no cure for this at hand.
Please Call Gtac and write a Problem report on this.

Regards,
Tomas

RE: VIEW label Scale

Ahhh - obviously missed that. Looks like my mind is following my eyes. Thanks Tomas.

RE: VIEW label Scale

As a work-around, you could create 3 expressions (type: constant) such as:
scale_numerator = 1
scale_denominator = 30
scale = scale_numerator / scale_denominator
You can then control the scale of the view with the scale expression and add a custom scale note that references the numerator and denominator expressions.

This is by no means an elegant solution, but may get you by until Siemens can fix the issue.

I'd suggest looking through the literature on whatever drafting standard you are using; if you can show GTAC that NX does not conform to the standard, the issue will get higher priority.
