load combination for multi storey building

load combination for multi storey building

(OP)
hello, id like to know what is a load combination for multi storey building according to Eurocodes when designing foundation.

I want to calculate sufficient foundations (width, depth) for 3 storey bulding, but i dont know how to combine useful vertical characteristic loads on floors? i m not sure if it is a sum of 1,5 x qk for every floor, because the end force value on foundation is really high that way: 1,35 x gk + 1,5 x qk1 + 1,5 qk2 + 1,5 qk3

there has to be some kind of reduction factors or no? can i use reduction factor for floors alpha A?

gk - is permanent load (self weight)
qk - imposed load on floors

see attached file.

tnx

RE: load combination for multi storey building

You need to check your code requirements. Loading requirements are given in the code.
