engineer meaning
engineer meaning
(OP)
I always had difficulty in the correct meaning of "engineer" : please, can you clarify ?
1 -after technical high school (approx at 18-19 years old). In italy we call him "perito", that is he is not really an engineer, but he only studied technical matters (mechanical, electricity, electronics, computer programming, civil constructions). The usual job is "draftsman"
2 - after 3 years of university (approx 21-22 years old). In Italy he is called "junior engineer" : to me he is like the previous one, he has no the capacity of designing
3 - after 5 years of university (approx 23-24 years old). In Italy is the real "engineer" (called "senior engineer"), he can design a project so to be responsible for that
Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)
