I Need Help.......

Can anyone tell me of a manufacture who sells a B.O.D. inline sampler that's compatible with a 4230 Isco flow meter?  Currently we monitor pH. conductivity and flow with the likely-hood of utilizing a B.O.D. in the very near future.

Thanks in advance.

RE: I Need Help....... Can anyone te

HDguy, I may be mistaken, but the methodology required to analyse a water sample for BOD precludes any type of in line sampling. That's why composites or grabs are taken then sent to a laboratory. A good discussion of Biochemical Oxygen Demand is covered in the "Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater" put out by the American Public Health, American Water Works Assoc., Water Pollution Control Federation.

Hope this helps.

Consider using a residual oxygen probe, and this figure will fill work with your flow meter but I think you need to have a density (mass flow) to get the information your looking for.

Thank you for your response.  In my area, one industry is using a "new" Inline b.o.d. monitor that looks promising.

HDguy :)
