Downloading an assy to local drive from Teamcenter and uploading back after updating

(OP)
Hi, I am looking for option if there is any possibility to download entire assembly to local from Teamcenter and updating with local NX.

After updating the dwg/Assembly, The components those updated only should be uploaded back to Teamcenter. No need upload all files.
earlier we did this in Enovia, where we can import files to local, update the drawing/assembly and upload the updated structure of assembly and drawing back to Enovia.

I know that Import Assembly into Teamcenter/Export Assembly outside Teamcenter options. But this is taking too much time. Please let me know if there is any other option.

Thanks and regards,
Sandeep

RE: Downloading an assy to local drive from Teamcenter and uploading back after updating

Yes, I believe there is a process for what you describe, however, for an assembly, Import/Export Assembly into/outside Teamcenter is the only way I know to maintain full control.
I suggest you read up on the Help menus for these functions, as there are options, like Check out/in, exceptions, what to do with family of parts, etc. on Export and Use Existing, Overwrite, and New Revision on Import that need to be fully understood. A lot of conditions, a lot of switches that make what you request daunting as assembly size increases. It can be done, with careful execution, but the only way I know how to reduce the time it takes, is to know what you are doing.
You might consider Exporting the assembly, but only re-Import the parts that were changed in native back into TC using "Overwrite" option.
Anyone else have other thoughts or experience? (I'm always looking for more efficiency where I can!)
PS: There is a TC forum, as well.
