Plot Error?

Plot Error?

Plot Error?

(OP)
I'm using SW 2016. I use a third party software to generate
solid models. The attached Plot1 is what should be plotted,
but I get what is shown on Plot? The bottom picture is what it
should look like. The top picture is what I get. I may have
changed some switches somewhere by mistake? The video driver has
been updated but has no affect. I tried different files (.step, .sat)
but the plot doesn't change.

Any ideas?
Thanks,

RE: Plot Error?

Talk to the people who make the 3rd party software.

I did. They say it's not their problem but if I buy
some of their special software, it might clear up the problem?

So from your response, this doesn't seem to be an obvious SW problem?
That's all I was asking. I'm just going to reinstall SW. The thing is,
I imported many models from the 3rd party software and it worked fine
until one day it didn't. (Good thing I get these kind of problems to
make life interesting....or not)

RE: Plot Error?

Why not use SW to generate the models? Why use a 3rd party?
Also, when you save as STEP/etc, check the options before you select 'OK'.

Because I can generate geometry in minutes rather than hours.

RE: Plot Error?

Well I think I got it working. I kept trying to import the model into SW as a part or an assembly.
For no reason, I just opened SW and selected "open" and then selected the file from the third party software.
When I hit OK, the model opened and rendering was not a problem. It works today. See what happens tomorrow?
