Coupling node DOF in Workbench

Coupling node DOF in Workbench

Coupling node DOF in Workbench

(OP)
Hello,

Is it possible to couple nodes in Workbench as it is done in ADPL? I want to couple a pair of nodes in the axial direction and have searched around but there doesn't seem to be any information. Perhaps it is under a different name?

Thanks

RE: Coupling node DOF in Workbench

1st option-You can use bonded contact with multi-point constraint option to join the bodies of interest with constraint equations approach. You can even define degrees of freedom to some extent.
2nd option- Create remote points and RMB on environment/structural object and select constraint equation and put equations for each remote point in worksheet.(Not familiar with this/never used)
3rd option- Use command snippet in the structural and use APDL commands with name selection of interested nodes.

Hope this helps.
