CEL AXISYMMETRIC ANALYSIS & EULERIAN OUTFLOW BOUNDARY

CEL AXISYMMETRIC ANALYSIS & EULERIAN OUTFLOW BOUNDARY

CEL AXISYMMETRIC ANALYSIS & EULERIAN OUTFLOW BOUNDARY

(OP)
Hello,

Can someone please help me understand the eulerian outflow boundary condition of 'zero pressure' and 'non-reflecting' (the physical aspect) and how it effects a simulation. (I'm trying to simulate something like friction stir spot welding). I've gone through the ABAQUS documentation, but much of it is vague to me due to my poor understanding of dilatational and shear waves.

Also, is it possible to run axisymmetric analysis with an eulerian object (CEL analysis). If yes, then can you please provide me any reference or source which I can refer for modeling an axisymmetric CEL model.

please note that my model is very much similar to friction stir spot welding.

Thanks,
Ankit
