Slection of Bay for Bracing System in Metal Buildings??

(OP)
How to choose suitable bay for adding bracing system in PEB shed for example if the shed consists 3 equal bays and shed is fully open from all four sides and braced bay is required only one so how we can select the suitable bay???

RE: Slection of Bay for Bracing System in Metal Buildings??

For a three bay building, I'm sure that you can brace any bay you like. It should probably be decided based on owner preferences. For longer buildings, it is sometimes beneficial to have your brace(s) near the middle of the building to mitigate accumulation of thermal stresses and movements along the framing line.

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.
