Dear All

I had a material about Custom 465 Aging treated colorful, aging condition H1050, used argon to cool rapidly

then the products appearance most gold color, a little purple color, is it correct? if i want to a original

metal appearance, how should i do, tks a lot ?

RE: Custom 465 Aging treated colorful

Yes it is probably correct. Even trace amounts of oxygen in the cooling gas will cause some tinting.
Depending on how delicate the parts are and now tight the tolerances you have cleaning options. I would suggest a light blast with glass beads, being as gentle as possible. Followed by nitric acid passivation. The parts will not look the same as before, but they will be clean, uniform, and have as good of corrosion resistance as possible.
