Roark Circular Ring question
Roark Circular Ring question
(OP)
Roark Table 9.2 Ref 1 shows a circular ring with two forces acting inward.
The forces are opposite each other (0 and 180)
Finding the moment at 0, 90, 180 and 270 is fairly straight forward through the book.
I would like to find the moment at say 45 degrees or any position I am interested in.
Is there a way to do in the book that I have missed?
thanks

I read over that part but I guess it didn't sink in.
Once I looked at it again with your commentary in mind it made perfect sense.
thank you very much.
