Macros

Macros

(OP)
We are new to SolidWorks and are still running 2001, but will be up on 2003 next month. Does anyone know if there is a web sight to go to for a list of users macros or does anyone have a special macro that may be useful for mechanical design/drafting? thank you

RE: Macros

If you are a current with you service subscription, there are macros available on the SW website.

Also if you have specific things you wish to achieve with a macro, you can try asking here.  There are a few great people that use this forum that have no problem sharing thier macros, or helping you develope your own.

http://www.frontiernet.net/~mlombard/macros.html This is Matt Lombards site, and he has a few macros to share.

I had a few more, but lost the URLs during a recent computer rebuild.

RE: Macros

Many helpful macros are available. By definition, these are shortcuts for repetitive tasks. Any thing you do over and over is a prospect for a macro. You get to build your own.
Frinstance, I have a macro to center the view on my drawing titleblock. I define a view in my dwgdot file "Titleblock" and then zoom to it with a macro button.
