Indentation depth
Indentation depth
(OP)
I've been asked to set a speed limit on forklifts operating near a steel tank so that if they ran into it, the tank wouldn't be punctured. I'm not sure where to start on this, any input would be greatly appreciated.

How much does the truck weigh?
How sharp are the forks?
How maniacal are the drivers?
RE: Indentation depth
If so then you need to look up bollard design so that an impact cannot happen.

EdStainless - I agree, that's one of the recommendations I made, but they want a speed limit.

stupid rule. it's not likely anyone will actually keep to this limit.
Rule #1: the client is NOT always right.
