Boiler Room Safety

Boiler Room Safety

(OP)
Hi Folks,

Talking about boiler room safety, is it by law that CO sensor should be interlocked with boiler so that in case any CO is detected inside the boiler room, boiler gets shut down. Secondly what is the minimum acceptable ppm concentration of CO exceeding which may set off the alarm. Thanks

RE: Boiler Room Safety

I've never heard of CO detectors be a lawful requirement for boiler rooms at least in northeast states of MA, CT, RI,VT,NY when I used to do boiler inspections in the latter part of the 20th century.
