My understanding is that BS 806, which was withdrawn and replaced with BS EN 13480, did not stipulate drip leg spacing on long runs of steam main as the scope was limited to piping within the boiler plant proper.  BS 806 stipulated a minimum drip leg diameter of 1/4 of the main bore.

I understand BS EN 13480 is more broad in application, but I haven't access to a copy.  Can a forum member tell me whether BS EN 13480 addresses drip spacing on long mains and whether is stipulates a method to determine the effective diameter for drip legs (drainage pockets) based on anticipated condensate load?
