RCC OneWay Slab OR Two Way Slab???

RCC OneWay Slab OR Two Way Slab???

RCC OneWay Slab OR Two Way Slab???

(OP)
Anyone can suggest for the below column spacing which type of RCC slab will be suitable/economical (two way slab or one-way slab) however there is no architectural restrictions for beams??

And second question is that if I go with one way slab the beam will be in X or Y direction or if I go with tow way slab then the beam will in X and Y both direction (Column to Column), my understanding is correct ??

RE: RCC OneWay Slab OR Two Way Slab???

If it's lightly loaded, I like two way flat plate. Cheap formeork.

It it's heavy industial, I like beams in the N-S direction. If there's limited headroom and a bunch of mechanical that needs to trace around underneath, two way flat slab with drop panels may be attractive.

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.
