section designer(spandrel rc beam)

(OP)
Hello,

I've modelled an rc beam(spandrel rc beam-pls. see attached plan and file) .

I noticed that when I run the design and look for its summary it doesnt give the "moment capacity" of the section.

Also, I noticed that in calculation sheet, the spandrel beam was referred to as a "column" not a beam( how to correct this?)

Also, I used the SD designer to provide 4nos.-H32 bar as main reinf(Will this be considered in running the concrete design? When I run the concrete design it gives me a reinf area = 7164 mm2, that's quite a lot considering that I have a 400x615 dp section plus an upstand of 175x750dp section, (can you shed light on this matter)

If I not include the upstand as part of the section analysis, I will need more than 4H32. Hopefully ETABS can give me the moment capacity of the whole section taking into account 4H32 as main reinf.

Hoping for an immediate response regarding this. Any help will be greatly appreciated
