Corrosion Weight Loss (Compress software)

Corrosion Weight Loss (Compress software)

Corrosion Weight Loss (Compress software)

(OP)
In Compress, there is an option to specify (in percentage basis, 0% or 100%) the effect of corrosion loss on vessel weight, i.e. corrosion weight loss.

I understand that using 100% corrosion weight loss is conservative to WIND calculation since lesser weight is present to counteract the bending moment. While using 0% corrosion weight loss is conservative to SEISMIC calculation since greater weight is considered in seismic base shear calculation.

With these in mind, can anyone please enlighten me on how do I choose the more conservative design between using 0% corrosion weight loss or 100% corrosion weight loss in my calculation?
Or please correct me if my understanding on above paragraph is wrong.

Thanks!
