Hi,

How do I calculate torque using RPM and not force? please help

Regards,
Paul

RE: torque without force

Hi
You cannot calculate torque from rpm's alone, if this is a motor then you need the motor power.
Once you have the motor power you can calculate torque from this:-

torque = power*60/(2*pi*rpm)

“Do not worry about your problems with mathematics, I assure you mine are far greater.” Albert Einstein

RE: torque without force

Only by finding a graph or equation for you particular device which gives you this information.

E.g.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

RE: torque without force

From the graphs presented above, you can do a regression analysis for both torque vs. rpm and for torque vs. rpm, then you'll have the equations.

RE: torque without force

"...both torque vs. rpm and for torque vs. rpm..." should have been "... both torque vs. rpm and for power vs. rpm..."

RE: torque without force

Torque(lb,in)=63,025 x power (hp)x/ speed (rpm)

RE: torque without force

what is the OP actually asking ?

another day in paradise, or is paradise one day closer ?

RE: torque without force

I believe that he is asking for an equation fitting the blue line graph for torque vs rpm. The way that I know would a regression analysis(blue line) which MS excel has.
