Ultrasonic Generator Schematics for Plastic Welding

(OP)
Dear People,
I'm facing for the first time the ultrasonic technology and searched the web for helpful hints on driving a piezo-ceramic transducer at enough power to obtain welding of plastic films.
Thank You in advance for any Tip !

RE: Ultrasonic Generator Schematics for Plastic Welding

The first thing that has to be known is the frequency that the plastic will melt at. If this is not done you might be wasting much time and efficicncy of what ever power supply that is choosen. Once this is known, look at the design of the plastic parts. Sharp edges will weld much easier than blunt or rounded corners. Energy tranmissibility with plastics can be tricky. Hope this helps.
