Metric Knurling standard
Metric Knurling standard
(OP)
Hi all,
it's my first time working on a plastic part with a knurling pattern on it and i can't find any metric standard chart so i could pick the right knurling tool.
Been googeling for a while now for those metric charts but with no luck finding something i can work with, only inches standards.
I'll appreciate it a lot if someone could refer me to the right site.
Maybe it'll help, the diameter of the blank part is 16mm and the knurling pattern is for a better grip only.
Thanks.

If your part is machined, somebody selects a knurling tool. Can you knurl plastic in a machine shop? If your part is moulded, the knurl is moulded in place. What can your plastic fabricator do?
Is somebody going to have fits if your knurl's pitch is out by 0.2mm?
