Received an Assy Model - Need To Separate Parts

Received an Assy Model - Need To Separate Parts

(OP)
Greetings: I have a model from customer. It came in with all parts complete, including the hole features. Now, my job is to basically draft the parts, and then show critical dimensions at assembly. My question is, if any of the parts (bodies) in the assembly have hole features, and these hole features are not separate from the body, but I need to change the hole features, is there any way to make the hole features a separate entity within the body? For example, if I highlight any portion of any hole in one of these bodies, it is really a part of the entire body right now.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Brent

It sounds like you have unparameterized bodies (like what you get from importing a STEP file). If this is the case, you can move or resize the holes with synchronous modeling commands (move face, offset region, resize face, etc). Alternatively, you could delete the hole faces (again with synchronous modeling commands - delete face, replace face, etc) and create a new hole feature in the body.
