Dear Experts,

i want to know the way of contactor sizing of dahlander motor. the motor is variable torque type.
thanks in advance.

RE: Dahlander Motor

Size the contactors according to the current which will flow in them. If the contactors are IEC types then the AC-3 rating is the one to use, unless you're doing something more severe like inching or plugging which would take it to the AC-4 or AC-5 rating.

Hint: the low speed contactor is sometimes smaller than the high speed and shorting contactors, which are normally of equal rating.
