nx cam - cavity mill, change direction of tool path from clockwise to counter clockwise

nx cam - cavity mill, change direction of tool path from clockwise to counter clockwise

(OP)
Hi Guys,
first I am not sure if I am using the correct operation so let me know if there is a better way.

I am facing the outside edge of a part all the way round. I am using a cavity operation with cut pattern 'follow periphery' and leave stock for a finish cut. All works but I would like to reverse the direction of the toolpath which is presently in a clockwise direction and conventional milling. Instead I would like the toolpath to go in the counter
clockwise direction around the part thus climb mill - how do I do this?

many thanks,
James

This may be an obvious question but have you set the cutting parameters – Strategy – cutting direction to Climb Cut?

Hi John,
yes, climb cut is set correctly... thanks!

Did you try switching the cut direction to conventional?
You may not be interpreting the cut direction the same as the system. For example, for follow peripheral with an inward pattern direction, the path would be clockwise to climb cut, because the system things you are removing material on the inward side of the pattern.
