Does anyone work with Arduino?

Does anyone work with Arduino?

(OP)
I have an Arduino Mega 2560 (Android compatible), Programmable Micro-controller thing for those wondering. I've been trying to get it to work with a Bluetooth Shield but it's not been playing game. I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience and know that it can be a difficult task to work with Bluetooth or if it might be my incompetence or if it might also be a bad device or even bad design...? (Though I don't like saying bad design as one should be able to still get a response from it.)

Secondly, I tried connecting up a LCD screen to my Arduino. The code for the screen was BTC-2004 with a red backlight. However when I tried to run an test program to print "Hello World", the screen was blank and kind of dim. My thoughts are that it might not be getting enough current, but I'm supplying the correct pins with the correct voltages according to some data sheets I looked up and a circuit design on the Arduino website. I'd be interested in hearing thoughts and suggestions! I am very amateur so all thoughts are welcome!

I've also got an Array of LEDs Shield which works perfectly with the board so I don't think it is at fault.
