Cover weld or transition on fillet weld

Cover weld or transition on fillet weld

(OP)
[b]Dear sirs,
I have some question as below.
Applicable code is ASME B31.1, and a dummy pipe (just support to pipe spool) is fillet-welded on the pipe spool.
As i know, ASME B31.1 just shows some acceptable illustration only for the branch connection.

Queation)
1. Even if dummy pipe is not pressure part & not branch connection, does it need cover weld and smooth transition to run pipe?
2. Dummy pipe has bevel groove for welding.
If weld finish is filled only to depth of groove of member joined without triangular cross section joining two surface, Is it also fillet weld or groove weld?

It would be highly appreciated if you answer A.S.A.P
Thank you.
