question about point mass and RBD

question about point mass and RBD

question about point mass and RBD

(OP)
Hello colleagues.

I have a system of rigid bodies and my goal is monitor joint forces. The hard part is how to redefine the mass center of the existing geometry ? If it was the mass only it can be done easy with creating material with the proper density, but here mass center coordinates are important.

my idea was to create zero density material and apply point mass to each body, but it does not allow me to have the entire body as an input, but only selected faces of it (where the mass point will be attached to)

in adams it is very easy to manipulate mass and mass center - you just edit numbers in the boxes...

how can i make it in ANsys WB ?

thanks in advance and regards
