Looking for an Old Versions of ASME code

Looking for an Old Versions of ASME code

Looking for an Old Versions of ASME code

(OP)
I asked ASME, where I could find out about the acceptable design of reinforced flat, rectangular plates with gussets. I was told the design of gusset stays was addressed in the 1971 edition of Section I, PFT-34.

Can anyone provide the actual wording of this removed section of the code or a source where I could find it.

Thank you,

RE: Looking for an Old Versions of ASME code

Try your AIA. They should have an engineering dept. with archives.

Also try anyone who does useful life studies of boilers and
pressure vessels. They need the old codes for the calcs.

Thank you for your reply. I contacted the person at ASME who told me about PFT-34 and he sent a PDF of this page. It does not appear this will help.

Thank you for the advice.

Rich99,

Contact your jurisdictional inspection agency-The folks that enforce code in your state/area. They maintain numerous copies of current codes for all their deputy inspectors and archive all the old stuff.
