Collector Callout

Collector Callout

Collector Callout

(OP)
I have a shearwall abutting into a floor and need to have a collector installed (ie. full depth blocking and cont. strap). What would be a typical call out for this? Strangely I've never had to call one of these out before, I've usually had interior shearwalls with drag trusses, but this time I've got a lower shearwall that is perp. to the floor trusses and there is no connecting diaphragm directly above it.

A confused student is a good student.

RE: Collector Callout

I'd just cut the sections and detail what you need. Avoid "collector" term.
Over-detail the conditions the framers aren't used to.
