Volume in real time

Volume in real time

Volume in real time

Is there a tool or solution that can show me volume of solid in real time (without need to measure it every time again and again)? For example it update after i change value for expression that will modify solid in some way.

RE: Volume in real time

First make an associative measurement, then You can link the expression in a PMI note..
Note the new features should be before the body measurement!

RE: Volume in real time

Ivan, can you provide an example on when / what ?

Regards,
Tomas

RE: Volume in real time

If you have done a associative "body measurement" , RMB that measurement in the navigator, "Show dimension".
then do some change on the model before the measurement . The displayed measurment will update.

If you like, you can under Preferences - Modeling - Update- Dynamic update = Continous ( or incremental)
Note that the model should not be too heavy for this to perform well.

In case you need the model volume be a target value , you can run the Optimization feature.

Regards,
Tomas

RE: Volume in real time

Or, if you know what volume you want, use optimization.
