Help validating Feeder protection settings

(OP)
Dear all,

We are currently replacing two 60kV feeder cables and would like if someone could help with the new over current relay settings and selectivity. The single line diagram with cable specs are attached. Furthermore, old cable and relay settings details are found below. In advance many thanks for your cooperation and support and if additional information is required please advise.

Old cable specs:
NKF XLPE CU 60kV
3/C 120 mm2
Maximum calculated ampacity: 220 Amps

Old relay settings:
IEC – Normal Inverse
I> = 0.55 Relay Amps: 2.75 Prim. Amps: 220
Time Dial (k): 0.4
I>> = 10.13 Relay Amps.: 50.65 Prim. Amps: 4052
Delay (sec): 0.35

New cable Specs:
TKF YLKrvdlwd 87/150 kV
3-1/C 400 mm2
Maximum calculated ampacity: 365 Amps

New relay settings (recommended):
IEC – Normal Inverse
I> = 1
Time dial (k factor) = 0.4
I>> = 10.13
Delay (sec): 0.35

RE: Help validating Feeder protection settings

The intent of the forum is to provide guidance if you have specific questions. You haven't done any work on this and you are expecting someone else to do your work for you!

RE: Help validating Feeder protection settings

(OP)
Not even a guidance nor help was given. Thanks anyway.

RE: Help validating Feeder protection settings

You need to find someone who knows something about system coordination to consult with. The cable ratings are generally about the last thing you'll need to worry about when setting relays. Any relay setting information you receive as a result of your OP will be worth less than you paid for it.

RE: Help validating Feeder protection settings

If you have no background of protection relay coordination, better take the services of external agency. This forum may not be able to help you.
